With 30+ years of dance experience, by the age of 15, Accursio was already competing internationally as a representative for England. Winning most of the major championships in the UK, many Championships abroad, and ranking 2nd in England in 10-dance Ballroom and Latin, all before turning Professional 15 years ago. Since turning professional Accursio continued to compete and was a finalist at the San Francisco Open World Championships, German Open Championships, and ranked top 5 in UK Professional Ballroom at the UK Closed Championships for 7 consecutive years.

Since retiring as a competitor, Accursio is internationally recognised as an adjudicator, coach/teacher and choreographer for the BBC.
